National League South side Billericay Town sack coach Harry Wheeler after one League loss.

Billericay Town have sacked Head Coach Harry Wheeler after yesterday’s 2-0 defeat at Chippenham Town.

The Blues won promotion to the second tier of Non League football last season under the guidance of Harry Wheeler – and Owner Glenn Tamplin – and were unbeaten prior to yesterday’s defeat. However, the Essex side are reportedly managerless following the loss.

A source close to the Club confirmed that Wheeler – who led Billericay to three titles last season – was sacked moments before the full-time whistle.

The same source stated that Wheeler received a text message informing him of the decision before a call afterwards reinforced the news.

With less than 24 hours until the Blues are set to face St Albans City in the Vanarama National League South, the Club are yet to make an official comment.
