Chelmsford City duo Scott Fenwick and Rhys Murphy have been linked to move following the conclusion of the season.
Scott Fenwick, 29, scored nine goals in 43 appearances for the Clarets last term. However, the former Hartlepool United striker added seventeen assists as City reached the play-offs.
With his contract due to expire this month, Fenwick is set to move nearer to his Newcastle home.
Fenwick joined from Maltese side Naxxar Lions in March 2018 and made an immediate impact.
He opened his account in a 1-1 draw with Concord Rangers; however, the Geordie striker made national headlines by scoring a hat-trick of penalties in consecutive matches.
The former York City striker ended last term with eleven goals in ten appearances, winning the April 2018 Player of the Month award on his way.
It is understood that Fenwick, who turned down an offer to sign for Boreham Wood on non-league deadline day, has received offers from clubs in the National League as well as a top-flight Scottish club.
Meanwhile, Chelmsford City could also lose top-scorer Rhys Murphy.
The former Arsenal trainee impressed while on-trial with the Clarets and eventually penned a deal for the 2018-19 season.
Murphy’s 28 goals in 43 appearances for Rod Stringer’s side last term has made him a key target.
It is largely understood that a number of sides from the National League are interested in signing the 28-year-old.
It is unknown who has approached the former Torquay United loanee, but it’s likely he would rather sign for a club closer to home.
